The Textile Recycling Association is the UK's national federation representative of the Bureau of International Recycling - Textiles Division. The Bureau of International Recycling was established in 1948 and is an international trade federation representing the world’s recycling industry covering in particular ferrous and non-ferrous metals, paper and of course textiles. www.bir.org

The Textile Recycling Association is a founder member of the Campaign for Real Recycling. The Campaign wants central government and local authorities to act urgently to improve the quality of materials collected for recycling in the UK.
